The Chilled 100 Round table series continues, stopping at Capo Restaurant on 443 West Broadway in South Boston.
The rustic neighborhood joint serves fine Italian food and spirits in a laid-back, comfortable setting. The cozy open-concept kitchen, led by Chef Tony Susi, was the perfect gathering spot for our Chilled 100 members to sample an array of international spirits while enjoying carefully crafted, fresh housemade pastas and classic Italian dishes.
Brought together by Jeff Greif and Max Ferro from the Chilled team, the Boston members of the Chilled 100 met Palm Bay International Spirits Manager Justin Ito-Adler who led the educational tasting, introducing our Chilled 100 members to many fine spirits such as Chamucos Tequila, Irishman Whiskey, Los Amantes Añejo, Bastille, Chase Vodka, Writers Tears Irish Whiskey, Darnley’s View Gin, and more.
Attendees included Naomi Levy, Nick Korn, Zach McGrath, Melinda Johnson, Ruben Cardoza, Jeff Grdinich, Jaqui Amrich, Melissa Filgerleski, and Neil Quigley.
The group started by sampling the lighter spirits accompanied by the appetizers, and then worked their way through to the darker liquids as the dinner went on.
The Boston Chilled 100 members were inquisitive and eager for information about the brands and demonstrated a drive to secure Boston’s place at the top of the mixology scene. Maybe we should start calling Boston The Hub (of Craft Cocktails).
“I think that this is a fascinating industry, and I truly believe with all my heart and soul that Boston is one of the best cities in this country for all things food and drink. I have dedicated myself to making sure that as many people as possible are on board with that program.”
