Alicia Walton began her bartending career in the late 90’s on the East Coast, but it was her move to the Bay Area in 2002 that really jumpstarted her love for the craft. San Francisco’s growing cocktail scene was the perfect learning environment to enjoy new spirits, meet other people in the industry and develop her style behind the bar.
Alicia has won a number of cocktail competitions, a few rewarding her with travel abroad alongside fellow bartenders. From consulting in the south of Spain to learning how to distill pisco in Peru, her love for the bar has helped her embark on some amazing and educational adventures. These experiences have allowed Alicia to enjoy some of the best things in life — great drinks, the best of friends and beautiful travel.
When she’s not slinging drinks (and wisecracks) at one of several local bars, you can most likely find her hanging with her two dogs and enjoying all the amenities the California Coast has to offer.
You can find her behind the stick at Bloodhound in SOMA & Brass Tacks in Hayes Valley, both located in San Francisco.
